Welcome, Lynx! I am so excited to be back in school with you all for my 5th year of teaching at Lexington. You will find our school and the theatre classroom especially a welcoming and inclusive environment where you are free to embrace what makes you unique and express yourselves!

The IB Profile Trait that I try to live by is Open-Minded! Our school and the world in general is filled with people of diverse backgrounds and ways of thinking. By being open-minded to new experiences, and learning about others and understanding their viewpoints, we can understand more about the world around us - which not only helps in creating impactful art, but also makes us more caring and compassionate toward others!

As a second year teacher and a second year Lynx, I feel incredibly lucky to work in such a wonderful and welcoming community that is Lexington Middle School! All of the students and staff here truly make me feel like I am part of a family. The raw talent that these kids have and I get to witness every single day, blows me away. I’m a firm believer in art imitating life. So, it is such a humbling and wonderful experience to be able to know and connect with my students through their skills, passion, and creativity. It’s something that I will never take for granted. 

The IB learner trait that I feel I embody the most is Caring. I really make an effort to know all of my students and understand how diverse they all are in every aspect. I’m so passionate about what I do and value how much of a difference simply caring about one another makes in the classroom and in the world. I believe this trait also requires patience and empathy. They are equally as important to me to have as well, especially as an educator.

Hi Lynx Families,

I am so excited to return to Lexington this year to teach dance! This will be my 4th year teaching dance at Lexington Middle School and I absolutely love it. The students and community at Lexington are just one of the many reasons why I returned to this wonderful school.

The IB learner trait I live by is balance. By nature, dance teaches us to focus on our balance physically, however, I think it is important to find balance in all aspects of life. With my dance training and my mental health counseling background, I always find ways to teach my students how to achieve balance in the many areas of their life in order to improve their overall happiness. I am so excited to meet you all and I cannot wait to work with you this year.
