Principal Bueno's Message

Dear Lynx Families,

There have been many challenges in recent months, and our school community has worked continuously to research and plan for the continued education of our children. As we look to open the 2020-21 school-year know that we are focused on ensuring our children are safe and are engaged in enriching learning environments.

Our student population will be receiving instruction in either the Face to Face or Lee Home Connect format as a result of each family’s selection of preference that was completed in July. Those students who have enrolled with Lee Virtual School for their instruction will receive communication from that school, thus, the following information may not apply.

In compliance with new safety guidelines, we will hold our Back-to-School Open House in virtual format for all students and families on August 27, opening via our website at 4:00 p.m. We will also hold a drive-up Chromebook/materials pick-up for all 6th graders and for those 7th and 8th graders who are participating in the Lee Home Connect instructional delivery model. These will occur August 25 – 27 between 12:00p.m. and 6:00p.m.. You will find a detailed schedule on the virtual open house announcement below. Students returning for Face-to-Face instruction will receive their Chromebook and materials the first week of school. Lee Virtual School students will receive a Chromebook/materials from that school.

I encourage you to use our school website,, and the School District of Lee County website,, to locate and stay informed with up-to-date information. Please contact the school by phone or email as visitors to the building will be met and assisted at the door.

It is very important that you have created an account in the FOCUS Parent Portal, and are able to access your child’s school-related information. Visit this site for the directions to create the account and learn more about using the FOCUS Parent Portal:

I look forward to working with you this year in supporting our students in reaching their highest potential.

We offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors, and hope for a better life.
