Before and After School Clubs

There are a variety of before and after school clubs offered at Lexington Middle. Below is a list of current clubs, however, we do add clubs during the year based on student interest.

Art Club
We do all kinds of fun art things! 😊 Art students can also finish working on their in-class projects if they are behind. 

Book Battle
Book Battle is a club where students read the Sunshine State Books and compete against other Lee County middle schools in a jeopardy style competition. 

Environment and Community Club
Students work together to form projects that either help the school or the community.  Our first project is to clean up the campus and restore our butterfly garden.   

Fellowship of Christian Athletes & Students
Snacks, Activity, Devotional & Fun with your friends!
Fishing Club
The Fishing Club is open to anglers at all skill levels. We meet to discuss fishing tips and tricks as well as organize events to support conservation groups in our area to protect our Florida waters. We also will have a year-long fishing tournament available to members, winners earn a variety of prizes. 

Future Florida Educators Association (FFEA)
We discuss careers in the education field, do Toys for Tots, and fundraise for teacher appreciation week.

Harry Potter Club
Harry Potter Fans gather to make crafts, play quidditch, watch the Harry Potter Movies, discuss books, Hogwarts Houses & Pottermore, and have fun snacks!

Jr. Thespians
LXMS Jr. Thespians club welcomes all lovers of the theatre arts to participate in improvisation games and hone their performance and technical theatre skills. Official induction into the Jr. Thespian Honor Society, which allows students the ability to compete in District and State competitions, must be earned through participation in school and/or community theatrical productions or classes.
Math Club
We do fun math stuff 🙂! We also prepare for and participate in math competitions throughout the year. If you enjoy math and problem solving, this club is for you!  

OM (Odyssey of the Mind)
Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program that engages students in their learning by allowing their knowledge and ideas to come to life in an exciting, productive environment. Participants build self-confidence, develop life skills, create new friendships, and are able to recognize and explore their true potential. OotM proves that students can have fun while they learn.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
The National Junior Honor Society elevates a school's commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Peer Mentor Club
Club for students with and without disabilities! Life Skills volunteer experience available to club members.

Spanish Club
We get together to learn more about the Hispanic culture, specifically music and food. We also practice Spanish.

Student Government
Elected officers and student representatives (anyone can join) SGA serves as a liaison between the student body and the school administration, providing a means for student statement in school affairs and also serves as leaders for the student body, sponsoring and organizing social activities and events.
Technology Student Association (TSA)
The Technology Student Association enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through extracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.
