Dear Parents,

Welcome to Lexington Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year!  We are excited to see our students and parents during our Back to School Open House. Participating in open house provides the opportunity to pick up class schedules, visit classrooms, enroll in before school care, confirm transportation, and gain support in  using the home-school communication systems.

Lexington Middle’s school hours are 9:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. We offer a fee-based, before school program to provide morning supervision for those in need.  If you are interested in participating in this program,          information and a registration form are located by following the link.  Please complete the registration form and return it at the Back to School Open House in August or to the front office.  The   morning program is offered each student school day from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  Students will not be permitted on campus prior to 9:00 a.m. if they are not enrolled in the before school program.  At 9:00 a.m., all students are welcome and must report directly to the cafeteria upon arrival.  Students are supervised in the cafeteria until the regular school day begins.

The school operates on a 10-period schedule with five classes meeting each day.  Odd period classes meet on the first day of the rotation (I-Day) and even period classes on the second day of the rotation (B-Day).       Students will have five classes each day.

We are very fortunate to have Lee County Parks and Recreation attached to our facility.  Parks and        Recreation offers an after school supervision program with many activities until 6:00 p.m.  You may register your child for this program by contacting Wa-Ke Hatchee Park at 432-2154.  Parents must pick up students by 6:00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you at Back to School Open House. Your child’s schedule and supply lists will be available at the Open House or you may access the supply lists for each grade level and the dress code by following the links.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer!

Sincerely,

Ms. Kristin Bueno
